Spring 2016: The Finer Details
At our design headquarters in Santa Barbara, California, we pride ourselves on little details that add up to an overall cool, personal style — even if you, yourself don’t put too much thought into why these clothes make you look good. We’ve got your back — by paying attention to special details such as an applied technique to a fabric to make it super soft or a unique pattern that enhances the way the fabric looks, or a blast of color on the inside of a color that hints at your true personality. And perhaps most importantly, our designs tend to have that almost subconscious characteristic of being something you always want to gravitate toward in your closet to wear over and over.
The Carbon2Cobalt 2016 Spring Collection explores these ideas even further with the perfectly broken-in casual or dressy Entrada Jacket. Take a closer look beyond its sage green tone and you'll discover a small geometric pattern. This is called redox printing and it's a technique that allows us to oxidize the color by a unique reduction method with a laser. The laser is so precise and quick you can make exact patterns very quickly and without harming the thread of the garment. The result on the Entrada Jacket is a pattern that creates depth and ever-subtle style to the super soft brushed cotton twill surface. Along with it's burnished brass buttons and cool leather trim around the neckline, the Entrada Jacket is a classic addition meant for your wardrobe.
Also new for the season is the refined Aperture Shirt. It not only has a wonderfully soft drape that feels great on, but on closer inspection you'll discover the mini-basketweave fabric adds to the beauty of this shirt. You'll appreciate the flattering details of this striking shirt.
Ebb & Flow Shirt
There's a natural organic texture that occurs in our new Ebb & Flow Shirt reminiscent of changing coastal hues. Naturally occurring cotton fibers and knots create a beautiful organic texture that is a handsome standout in a sea of ordinary shirts.
Perfect for changing Spring weather because it's lightweight and also looks great layered. Take a closer look and the intricate square-dobby weave of this shirt reveals wonderful detail and red, blue, black and cream colored yarns that create an elevated style that is stunning and will surely bring compliments. The Extra-Sensory Shirt is also just inherently good-looking and enhances your own effortlessly cool style.
At first glance you might just think this is an attractive classic light blue shirt, but take a look at the details: an intricately textured double-cloth fabric that resembles tiny windows or the exactness of grid paper. Try it on and you'll quickly realize this is anything but a rigid or uptight shirt with its super soft cotton layers — slub on the outside and smooth guaze on the inside — and lightweight hand add up to an extraordinary shirt.
